The spots here are quite centralized, so it's a good choice to take a walk along Reuss River.

The Chapel Bridge, a landmark of Lucerne, is said to be the oldest woodbridge of Europe. The Bridge was built in 14th century as a protection for the city. It's amusing walking over the 670 feet long bridge as you can see about 120 pictures of 17th century city life and Swiss history. Unfortunately the bridge burned down on 18th August 1993 (although within a few months it was rebuilt).

教堂橋中有一座140英呎高的八角形水塔，建於1300年前後，是城墻的一部分亚伦格林 ，曾用作檔案館，金庫险象迭生 ，監獄和行刑室九女仙湖 。
The 140 feet tall octagonal water tower is located between the Chapel Bridge, built around Year 1300间谍迷城, as part of the city wall, it was used as archives, treasury, jail and chamber.

The sculpture was designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen in 1821. It commemorates the 786 Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution堕落精灵 , when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris闪酷卡 , France.
